Cause Celeb highlights a celebrity's work on behalf of a specific cause. This week we speak with actress Scarlett Johansson, four-time Golden Globe nominee, 2010 Tony Award winner, and star of the upcoming film "We Bought a Zoo," due for release in 2012, about her work with USA Harvest, a charity food distribution organization.
USA Harvest evolved out of the smaller Kentucky Harvest, started in 1987. With more than 125,000 volunteers, USA Harvest has provided 11.6 billion pounds of food to organizations nationwide. Itsmission statement says it all: "Moving food from people who have too much, to those who have much too little!"

Q: What is your experience with charity work?
Johansson:I've worked with many different charities to raise awareness for the charities themselves and the various causes they advocate for. I'm an ambassador for Oxfam, having traveled to Sri Lanka and India to visit sustainable living programs, women's support groups and Oxfam supported schools in both rural and metropolitan communities. I've also recently visited Rwandese HIV/AIDS clinics with (RED) and continue to support USA Harvest by raising money to feed America's hungry.
Q: What is unique or special about this particular charity?
Johansson: One of the many wonderful things about USA Harvest is that the organization is an NGO, a non-governmental organization. It is completely nonprofit so every dollar that is donated goes to buying cans of food. Every dollar buys roughly two cans of food to be delivered to assorted missions around the country that distribute the goods.
A wonderful program USA Harvest offers is called Blessings In A Backpack. Many kids who are guaranteed a hot meal at least once a day at school often really feel the absence of school lunch at the end of the week. This program offers kids food to bring home for the days that they will not be guaranteed a meal at school, like weekends.
Q: What inspired you to join this charity?
Johansson: I was looking for an NGO to support after Hurricane Katrina. While working with USA Harvest, I realized that in times of crisis, while many are trying to get their lives back together, the first thing on one's mind is "how am I going to feed myself and/or my family?" When you're not panicked and distraught about where your next meal is coming from, it's one less struggle to get through.
Q: What is your role/what specifically do you do within/for this charity?
Johansson: I act as a face for USA Harvest, making people aware of the charity and offering ways on how to help out.
Q: Is there a particularly memorable moment you can recall while working with one of these charities?
Johansson: One of my fondest memories of working with Stan Curtis, founder of USA Harvest, is when we traveled to the Ninth Ward in New Orleans, meeting the community that was being fed daily by donations, and helping to serve on the lunch line.
Scarlett Johansson was spotted jogging this past weekend with new beau Sean Penn and buddy Owen Wilson. And after a photo of her surfaced from the friendly run showing an ever-so-slight belly, rumors have been running rampant that the 'Iron Man 2' star is pregnant.
Not the case, her reps said. "Scarlett is not pregnant," Johansson's publicist, Marcel Pariseau, told PEOPLE. "She's been training for 'The Avengers' for over four months and is in the best shape of her life."
In fact, Pariseau blames her outfit: "She's outside running and it's simply the placement of her shirt that is misleading. Johansson and Penn have been dating for a couple months. The 26-year-old actress and the 'Milk' actor were first spotted together at a party celebrating the film 'Black Swan.' Since then, the couple has been spotted in Mexico and even attended Reese Witherspoon's star-studded wedding together.
Johansson separated from husband Ryan Reynolds in December. Penn, 50, and actress Robin Wright divorced in 2009 after 13 years of marriage.

Equally as puzzling as to how this threesome wound up taking a jog together, though, is ScarJo's running gear. The usually glammed-out actress was sporting some less than flattering workout wear, but it was her shoes that caught our attention!
Turns out the bizarre-looking shoe/slipper is a Vibram FiveFinger sport shoe. Next time, ScarJo, remember there are cameras capturing your every move!

ScarJo doesn't think she's been too scarred by her recent divorce - she's ready to dive back into marriage with her new beau Sean Penn. And that scares her friends!

"Everyone knows Sean never gets serious," the friend says. But Scarlett sees him as an intellectual, like another older man she likes to being close to – Woody Allen!

Sean Penn and Scarlett Johansson have added more weight to rumours they are an item after attending Reese Witherspoon's wedding together.
Penn, 50, and 26-year-old Johansson - who is a client of Witherspoon's agent husband Jim Toth-surprised the crowd of A-listers at the wedding by appearing together, according to entertainment website Popeater.com.
"Scarlett is Jim's client, but no one, including the bride, knew she would have turned up with Sean Penn," an unnamed friend of Johansson's was quoted as saying.
"Turning up at a wedding with your boyfriend is definitely a huge statement, especially that wedding."
Witherspoon married Toth on the weekend in a private ceremony at her Californian ranch.
Also in attendance were Robert Downey Jnr, Renee Zellweger and Spiderman star Tobey Maguire.
Penn and Johansson first kicked the rumour mill into overdrive when they were spotted at party in Los Angeles earlier this year for the movie Black Swan.
The pair has also been seen eating together and apparently jetted down to Mexico for a day trip.

According to ShowbizSpy, the couple were reportedly seen smooching and canoodling whilst they dined with friends at Madeo in Los Angeles.
A source revealed: "They were at the best table in the house, but it's smack in the centre, and Sean was annoyed by looky-loo diners sneaking peeks.
"There wasn't an empty table to be had – but Sean sent a hostess to tell three girls in a corner booth that if they'd switch tables, he'd pay for dinner. Sean and Scarlett kissed and petted like their pals weren't even there.
"When the evening ended and the love birds exited, a waiter handed the three girls a check holder - but there was no bill inside; just a note from Sean that read: 'Thank you!'"
The couple were first rumoured to be romantically involved last month.
